5 workouts ... 3823 calories burned ... great week ... maybe even approaching awesome, right?
Check out the scales ...
That's right ... I gained a pound!
Wait ... before you say, "That's okay, muscle weighs more than fat", just know that I will hunt you down and find some way to hurt you. A pound is a pound whether it's fat, muscle, rocks, or feathers. Granted, muscle is leaner than fat, but I'm trying to lose pounds here. Less pounds means faster times ... or at least that's my theory (I think I might actually be right on this one).
Theories concerning my inability to lose weight abound ... all the way from eating too much to not eating enough. So I've decided to start tracking my calories, fat, and carbs in relation to my exercise. I have friends and family with that cool Lose It! app on their iPhones/iPods but I don't have one those (though I am weakening). I've tried writing it down in a notebook and then using all of my fingers and toes to do my gazintas (thank you Jethro Bodine) but I tire of that after about two meals. But last night I found MyFitnessPal.com.

So what about you? What three websites do you spend the most time on? What did we do before the internet?
Eight weeks until my first triathlon of the season ... let's see if I can lose 8 pounds off my frame and 8 minutes off of my time.
Just lose it!

Believe me tom, i know the frustration of working your butt off and not losing weight. If i had a solution, i would be doing it, but i dont... So im not. Haha. My three websites i spend the most time on in order of time spent:
1. facebook
2 .yahoo (news, mail, music)
3. blogger
Me too Pastor Brad, er... I mean Rick. Its a tough one. I journal every single food item and keep myself accountable. Although I have seen those fancy apps, mine is the ol paper and pen trick. I am down 28 lbs and with another 20 off, I am starting a running program. Yay me! You are right, a pound IS a pound. Just like calories in and calories out. If you are consuming less than you are using there is nothing scientific about it, it will come off. Time is another matter though. Anyhow here is my fav. 3 weight sites and to boot, my 4 fav. people who I watch for inspiration (which we all need)
